Q.Several apps are called Inko. Which one is this?
This is the official site of Inko: AI Language Learning on the App Store (App Store ID 6793942168), made by AlphaByte, Inc. for iPhone, iOS 17 or later. The Inko whiteboard app and the Inko check-in app are different apps from other developers.
Q.Can I use it if I can barely speak yet?
Yes. When the words do not come, say it in your own language. Your buddy picks up what you meant, says it back in English and keeps the conversation going. Everything you could not say shows up in the lesson note afterwards.
Q.Is the mic always on?
No. It listens only while you hold the round button, so you can think first and then speak.
Q.How much time does it take a day?
The conversation is 60 seconds. Reading the note and saving a phrase or two takes a few minutes at most.
Q.Is it free?
You can try one conversation for free. Inko Pro is a subscription for when you want to keep going. Details are inside the app.
Q.How is this different from an online tutor?
No booking, nobody to feel self-conscious in front of, and study material made from your own sentences the moment the call ends. It never gets tired of the same mistake.
Q.Which languages can I learn?
You can learn English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish or French, from any of 50 native languages. Explanations come in your language; only the phrases you learn are in the target language.
Q.Where are my recordings and notes stored?
Recordings, notes and phrases stay on your device. Audio is sent to the AI to generate the reply, but it is not kept on a server. You can delete your account completely from inside the app.
